Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture into your wet ingredients until just combined—avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and sprinkles until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Serve warm for maximum gooeyness.
