- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp blackening spice (paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, thyme)
- 1 lb large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz fettuccine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Season both sides of the steak generously with blackening spice.
- Heat a skillet over high heat with olive oil until shimmering hot.
- Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a blackened crust forms. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add shrimp and sauté until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Reduce heat to medium-low in the skillet and pour in heavy cream.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth; add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
- Toss in cooked fettuccine, sliced steak, and shrimp until well combined.
