- 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined without overmixing.
- Form the mixture into equal-sized balls about one inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and browned on top.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are baked, gently place them into the sauce and let them simmer for an additional five minutes.
- Serve warm on plates or family-style from the pan with extra marinara sauce drizzled over.
