- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Pasta: Boil ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Mix the Cheeses: In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
- 3. Layer Ingredients: Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray. Start layering by pouring half of the marinara sauce at the bottom. Add half of the cooked pasta followed by half of the cheese mixture. Repeat these layers with remaining ingredients.
- 4. Add Remaining Sauce: Pour any leftover marinara sauce over the top layer and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- 5. Cook It Up: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for about 4 hours or high heat for about 2 hours until bubbly and golden brown.
- 6. Serve with Love: Once cooked, serve hot! Optionally garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan before enjoying.
