Description

Savor the delightful flavors of this Nutritious Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl, featuring tender salmon, wholesome veggies, and fluffy rice, all glazed with savory teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup white or brown rice
  • 2 cups water (or as required)
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 3 sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until clear.
  2. In a pot, combine rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.
  3. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
  5. Pour teriyaki sauce over the salmon during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to caramelize.
  6. While salmon cooks, steam broccoli for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender.
  7. Divide cooked rice among bowls.
  8. Top each bowl with salmon and steamed broccoli.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  10. Drizzle any remaining teriyaki sauce over the top before serving.
