Bright and tangy, this no-sugar added cranberry relish bursts with flavor, making it the perfect healthy side for any holiday feast or everyday meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh cranberries under cool water, removing any stems or spoiled berries.
  2. Grate one tablespoon of orange zest into a bowl. Squeeze half a cup of fresh orange juice into the bowl.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix cranberries, orange zest, orange juice, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger until well combined.
  4. Cook the mixture for 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst open and the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a serving bowl. The relish will thicken further as it cools.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature alongside your favorite dishes or spread on toast.
