- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
- Rinse fresh cranberries under cool water, removing any stems or spoiled berries.
- Grate one tablespoon of orange zest into a bowl. Squeeze half a cup of fresh orange juice into the bowl.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix cranberries, orange zest, orange juice, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger until well combined.
- Cook the mixture for 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst open and the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a serving bowl. The relish will thicken further as it cools.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature alongside your favorite dishes or spread on toast.
