Description
A creamy and flavorful dish that combines cheese tortellini with bold Cajun spices, delivering comfort and satisfaction in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- 1. Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 3-5 minutes. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- 2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 3. Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Gradually add the Parmesan cheese while stirring until it melts into a smooth sauce. Mix in the Cajun seasoning.
- 4. Combine Tortellini with Sauce: Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce, tossing gently to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
- 5. Add Toppings: Sprinkle chopped green onions on top of the loaded Cajun Alfredo tortellini.
- 6. Serve It Up: Plate and serve immediately while hot, drizzling any remaining sauce over each serving.
