Description

Homemade Owl Cookies are a delightful treat for kids, offering soft and chewy goodness in a whimsical owl shape that makes snack time fun!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly to form an owl shape, using extra chocolate chips for eyes if desired.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
