- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly to form an owl shape, using extra chocolate chips for eyes if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
