- 8 thick slices brioche or challah bread

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook until apples soften slightly, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally and enjoy the aroma.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
