Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 24 fresh gyoza wrappers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 8 oz fresh ramen noodles

Instructions

  1. 1. Dice chicken thighs into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes).
  3. 3. In a bowl, mix cooked chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, and ginger until combined.
  4. 4. Place about a teaspoon of filling onto each gyoza wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into half-moon shapes, and pinch to seal.
  5. 5. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom. Fry gyozas until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Add half a cup of water to steam; cover and cook for another five minutes.
  6. 6. In another pot, combine chicken broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  7. 7. Add fresh ramen noodles directly into the simmering broth and cook according to package instructions (usually around three minutes).
  8. 8. Serve by placing noodles in bowls topped with broth and fried gyozas.
