Indulge in crispy fried chicken gyozas nestled in savory ramen broth, offering warmth and satisfaction with every delicious bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 24 fresh gyoza wrappers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 8 oz fresh ramen noodles
Instructions
- 1. Dice chicken thighs into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes).
- 3. In a bowl, mix cooked chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, and ginger until combined.
- 4. Place about a teaspoon of filling onto each gyoza wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into half-moon shapes, and pinch to seal.
- 5. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom. Fry gyozas until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Add half a cup of water to steam; cover and cook for another five minutes.
- 6. In another pot, combine chicken broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- 7. Add fresh ramen noodles directly into the simmering broth and cook according to package instructions (usually around three minutes).
- 8. Serve by placing noodles in bowls topped with broth and fried gyozas.
