- Add Vegetables: Stir in sliced mushrooms and asparagus to the skillet with chicken. Sauté until tender (approximately five more minutes).
- Create the Sauce: Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream while scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let simmer gently until slightly thickened (about three minutes).
- Combine Everything: Add cooked penne and Parmesan cheese to the skillet, mixing well. Use reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
- Serve: Transfer onto plates and drizzle with any remaining sauce for a finishing touch.
