- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown; a toothpick inserted should come out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
