  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dried cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  4. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about three minutes).
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and dried cherries evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded scoops of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for approximately ten minutes or until edges are set but centers are soft.
