  • 1 cup dried cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and dried cherries.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving about two inches between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but centers remain soft.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
