Description

Cherry Crumble Bars are a delightful dessert that combines tart cherries and a buttery, crumbly topping. Perfect for any occasion, these bars are sure to please!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Toss the prepared cherries with granulated sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Pour in melted butter and combine until a crumbly texture forms.
  5. Spread half of the crumble mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Layer the cherry filling on top of the crumble.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the cherries.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
