- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Toss the prepared cherries with granulated sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour in melted butter and combine until a crumbly texture forms.
- Spread half of the crumble mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the cherry filling on top of the crumble.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the cherries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
