- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into chunks)
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into chunks)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cold butter. Mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, toss pitted cherries with sugar and flour until well coated.
- Once crust is baked, spread cherry filling evenly over it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and cold butter. Blend until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the cherry filling.
- Place in preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
