Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth. Pour into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Pour in the batter and listen for that satisfying sizzle.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
