- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Sprinkle gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for about five minutes to soften.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and eggnog. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in the softened gelatin until completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving cups or molds. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight until set.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in freshly grated nutmeg for added flavor.
- Once set, gently unmold (if using molds) or serve directly from cups topped generously with nutmeg whipped cream.
