- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil a large pot of water for cooking the noodles.
- Cook the Noodles: Add egg noodles to boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, dried thyme, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth.
- Combine Ingredients: Add drained noodles and cooked chicken (shredded or cubed) into the sauce mixture. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- Bake: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly and top with remaining cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
