Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (red, yellow, or green)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions. Set aside when done.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Cook ground turkey for about 5 minutes until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Stir in chopped bell peppers and broccoli florets. Cook for about 3 minutes until they soften but remain crunchy.
  4. Drizzle teriyaki sauce over the turkey mixture. Stir well to coat everything and let simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Spoon cooked rice into serving bowls and top with the turkey-vegetable mixture.
  6. Finish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving hot.
