Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 3-5 minutes if using fresh.
- Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Create the Sauce: Slowly pour heavy cream into the skillet while stirring. Then add Cajun seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to stir until melted and well combined.
- Combine Everything: Once the sauce is smooth, add cooked tortellini directly into the skillet. Gently toss everything together until coated in sauce.
- Add Toppings: Stir in half of the chopped green onions, reserving some for garnish. Mix well for even distribution.
- Serve It Up: Transfer portions onto plates or bowls. Top with remaining green onions and extra Parmesan if desired.
