Description

Elevate your holiday feast with this vibrant Thanksgiving Cranberry Chutney Relish, bursting with sweet and tangy flavors that perfectly complement your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water until clean.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, granulated sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and cranberries start to pop.
  3. Stir in orange zest and ground cinnamon. Continue stirring until most cranberries burst open, approximately 10 minutes.
  4. If using walnuts, fold them into the mixture now. Let it simmer for an additional few minutes until thickened to your liking.
  5. Remove from heat and allow the chutney to cool completely in the pan; it will thicken as it cools.
  6. Transfer chutney into a serving bowl or jar. It can be served warm or chilled.
