  • 4 flounder fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by gathering ingredients and tools.
  2. Season both sides of each flounder fillet with salt and pepper.
  3. Place flour in a shallow dish and dredge each seasoned fillet on both sides, shaking off excess flour.
  4. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat until bubbly but not browned.
  5. Carefully add the dredged flounder fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the cooked flounder from the skillet and keep warm on a plate.
  7. Add minced garlic to the remaining butter in the skillet and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  8. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and stir well.
  9. Transfer crispy flounder to plates and drizzle lemon-butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
