Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne or fusilli pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and add a generous pinch of salt. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth. Whisk in garlic powder and half of both cheeses (cheddar and parmesan) until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine drained pasta with sauce mixture. Toss gently until every noodle is coated.
  4. Transfer everything into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and parmesan cheese.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
